Proudly we can now present both a daughter,
granddaughter and now great-granddaughter by the
worldfamous sire Menes.
Pomera is sired by the Champion Stallion Pobeditel
(Balaton/Menes x Pantomima/Naftalin).
Pomera arrived to us in the summer of 2015 and is now
reunited with her sister Balmena (by Balaton).
Pobeditel was bred at Tersk Stud, USSR and was for some
years, leased to The Kossack Stud in NL, and he quickly
proved his worth as a sire.
Pobeditel was in 1999 Dutch National Junior Reserve
Champion and Junior Champion Stallion 2000 Tilburg, as
well as the Dutch National Junior Champion Stallion
2001.
Back in the USSR, he was appointed National Show
Champion 2005.
Pomera's dam Melpomena is also bred by Tersk Stud. Her
sire is the Champion Stallion Piligrim (Gips x Postup/Suvenir),
who in addition to several Champion titles, also showed
his worth at the racetrack.
Melpomena's dam Mirnaja is by Naslednik (Nil x Nitochka/Naseem)
who was at the racetrack and also was awarded the All
USSR Champion in 1978.
Mirnaja is out of Margaritka (Aswan x Monopolia/Priboj),
which was a much appreciated broodmare at Tersk Stud, in
addition to a career at the racetrack.
Melpomena herself became a part of our team of horses in
2015- and therefore we can present both Pomera's dam and
sister at our stud. Melpomena is awarded with goldmedal
at Int.-and Nat.Show.
Pomera's ancestry can all be traced directly back to
Tersk Stud, and her pedigree is filled with Champion
titles and performance lines with success on the
racetrack. A strong pedigree who possess the best of the
old Russian bloodlines, which we here at the stud value
highly.
Pomera is a stunningly beautiful and eye-catching mare,
a mare with many qualities and a unique charisma. Pomera
has inherited her sire's breathtaking look.
She has a loving and gracious mind and a positive
cooperative temper, which makes her a mare that is
impossible not to fall in love with.
Pomera is a well-moving mare with a good size and a
lovely typey head, with large dark and calm eyes. A mare
we are extremely pleased to expand our breeding program
with.
We hope Pomera will soon be part of our breeding program
and look forward to welcome her offspring, which we
expect to have a great performance potential. |
